Covenant of Honor
Before the guild became “Covenant of Honor,” we were known as “A.W.O.L.” in City of Heroes (2005-2012). After having a falling out with management of a guild, a splinter group of friends left the Freedom server and headed to the Liberty server in City of Heroes [COH]. That group of friends created a guild without operational limits and made the members feel like they were part of something bigger. As time passed, members came and went (and came back) but AWOL continued to grow and be a small but respected group within the game. AWOL was active in COH until mid-2011 when the leaders began playing other MMOs (such as “Star Trek: Online” and “Star Wars: The Old Republic”).
In April 2012, the remaining members voted on a name change to reflect who we are and to represent the guild in any MMO/game that we play. Upon completion, Covenant of Honor was chosen as the name symbolized the “code of honor” on how we (as a group) play; we play fair and don’t cheat, exploit, or grief others.
